What is the difference between Iron and Steel?

Iron is a naturally occurring element found on the earth. Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon.  The addition of carbon makes steel much stronger than iron.

What is the difference between Powder coating and painting?

Powder coating is a dry powder that is electrostatically applied and then cured under high heat.  It creates a thick, hard finish that is more durable than most paint finishes.

What colors are available?

Black is the most common color, due in part to the fact it is less expensive than other colors to apply.  Joash Ironworks has a wide variety of colors available, but many of them are special order.

What are one-way screws?

Joash uses one-way screws to install security doors and window guards.  One-way screws can be screwed in but cannot be removed without a special tool.
